Agreed that the $7 billion Sony deal with Netflix is certainly a “sanity check” on the current market value for what a premiere global movie studio can fetch for its IP on the largest streaming platforms. It is not a perfect comp - but I like looking for these alternative comps to help me understand valuation outside of P/E multiples. And yes - Netflix advertising has a lot of room to run before they run out of inventory. Will see what happens!
